Why is the firm named Eagle Architects?

Alan Chambers, a principal architect, and owner earned his Eagle Scout from Boy Scouts in his teens and has endeavored to live up to the Scout Law since boyhood. The Scout Law states “A Scout is trustworthy, loyal, helpful, friendly, courteous, kind, obedient, cheerful, thrifty, brave, clean and reverent.” Alan’s son is a Life Scout working on his Eagle. Alan decided to name Eagle Architects after this high ideal and strives to display these traits in his daily work.

How does Eagle Architects give back?

Eagle Architects has a long history of community involvement and philanthropy.

Eagle Architects is based in Chico, CA, adjacent to Paradise and neighboring communities destroyed by the November 2018 Camp Fire. Eagle Architects has made every effort to assist those affected by the fire. We have provided a place for families to park temporary housing, made substantial donations to emergency shelters, made donations to schools county-wide, provided goods and furnishings to Camp Fire victims and volunteered at shelters and food banks. Through North Valley Community Foundation’s “Camp Fire Wish” program, we have granted wishes of youth to replace their most treasured items, including a golden retriever puppy, cheerleading outfit, movie tickets and funds for a Washington D.C. trip. Eagle Architects has also been instrumental in helping burned schools create temporary education facilities and also recover their buildings and campuses.

Eagle Architects supports Boy Scouting in the Ranchero West district.  Alan has been instrumental in updating and refurbishing buildings at Camp Lassen and continues to support the Camp Lassen Alumni Association. Alan is an Eagle Scout and his son is a Life Scout. Eagle Architects both volunteers for Boy Scouts and also supports scouting financially.

Alan has taught several sessions of Dave Ramsey's Financial Peace University, helping others become debt-free and save for college and retirement.

Eagle Architects volunteers to ring bells for the Salvation Army every Christmas season. Eagle Architects regularly makes financial donations to various schools.

As a community service, Eagle Architects provides a Dr. Daniel Amen's poster showing the effects of drug and alcohol usage on the brain to school teachers and administrators free of charge on request. In addition, Alan has been a volunteer facilitator for Klemmer & Associates, a character and leadership development firm.
